The two-day intergovernmental negotiations on the development of Armenian-German cooperation have started in Armenia’s capital Yerevan, the Ministry of Economy of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. Vahan Kerobyan, Minister of Economy of Armenia, and Niels Annen, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, are the co-chairs of these talks. Kerobyan noted that the largest share of Armenia's trade with EU countries is with Germany. "Trade and economic relations between Armenia and Germany are developing and expanding year by year. Thus, Armenia's trade with Germany, according to the characteristics of the exporting country, amounted to 500 million US dollars in January-September 2023, which increased by 36.9% compared to the same period of the previous year," said the minister of economy of Armenia. During the meeting, the parties discussed sustainable economic development, climate change, renewable energy and energy efficiency, development of the private sector and financial sectors, technical and professional education and training, good governance, and several other matters of mutual interest.
