Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a Canadian parliamentary delegation led by Senator Leo Housakos, the PM's office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The premier emphasized the development of cooperation between Armenia and Canada in various domains, and added that their bilateral relations have recently been of a dynamic nature. Pashinyan stressed Canada's assistance to the Armenian government in implementing democratic reforms. At the same time, the PM emphasized the importance of Canada's decision to join the European Union’s civil monitoring mission in Armenia. The members of the Canadian parliamentary delegation, for their part, expressed their concern regarding the situation as a result of the policy of Armenian ethnic cleansing implemented by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh. In this context, the interlocutors reflected on the humanitarian issues of more than 100,000 forcibly displaced Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the measures being taken by the Armenian government to resolve these issues. Views were exchanged also on the process of normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
