by Lilit Nov. 17, 2023

Ambassador Arman Khachatryan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the Council of Europe (CoE), on Thursday signed on behalf of Armenia—and in the presence of Marija Pejcinovic Buric, Secretary General of the CoE—the Second Additional Protocol to the Convention on Cybercrime on enhanced cooperation and disclosure of electronic evidence. This document was adopted by the CoE Committee of Ministers on November 17, 2021 and opened for signature on May 12, 2022. The objective of this protocol is to make the mutual assistance between competent authorities more effective, to expand cooperation in cybercrime and collecting evidence of criminal offense in electronic format for conducting investigations or proceedings in a specific criminal case.
