A difficult diplomatic work is expected within the framework of the process of normalization of relations with Azerbaijan. This was announced by Gevorg Papoyan, a ruling majority Civil Contract Faction MP, during a press briefing in the National Assembly of Armenia Friday. Papoyan called the position of Azerbaijan, which declined to attend the meeting at the level of foreign ministers in Washington D.C., destructive. In contrast to this, as the lawmaker noted, Armenia's position is fully understood by international partners. The Armenian ruling force MP is convinced that the current developments give the two parties an opportunity to sign a peace treaty. "Of course, there are obstacles. Otherwise, the treaty could have been signed already today," added Papoyan. In turn, Civil Contract Faction secretary Artur Hovhannisyan did not rule out that this peace treaty could be signed by the end of this year. "The Armenian side will do everything for it," assured the legislator.
