Ogun Samast, who assassinated Hrant Dink—chief editor of Agos Armenian weekly of Istanbul, Turkey—on January 19, 2007, has been released from prison, BBC reports. Samast was 17 years old at the time of the assassination, and was arrested the day after this murder, at the Samsun city bus station. He spent 16 years and 10 months in a Turkish prison, but his sentence was reduced a year ago. Samast was released because of "good conduct."
