Any country has the right to have defense forces. And when it comes to conventional equipment or weapons that are allowed under international agreements, any country has the right to acquire them. This is how Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili answered the question about the delivery of French armored vehicles to Armenia through the territory of Georgia. "Georgia's position is that both countries should be given the opportunity to use the transit function that our country has, on equal terms. This is our answer to that question; and unnecessary insinuations are not appropriate in this regard," Darchiashvili said on the air of First Channel television of Georgia. Also, he reiterated Tbilisi's position regarding the "3+3" format, and declared that Georgia does not and will not participate in this format. Ilia Darchiashvili added that Georgia has very good and friendly relations and cooperation with its neighboring countries Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan, in bilateral formats.
