The 11th Khachaturian International Festival will start Thursday in Armenia. This year's festival is dedicated to the 120th birth anniversary of Aram Khachaturian. This festival named after the great Armenian composer will continue until December 16. Five symphony concerts will be held within this one month, during which famous soloists will perform. The core of this festival will be the works of Aram Khachaturian. The Khachaturian International Festival has been a member of the European Festivals Association since November 2021. The audience of this festival's concerts will have the opportunity to join the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra in support of the UNICEF initiative. Also, the audience, as well as the colleagues and all friends of this orchestra, will be able to take care—with their donations—of the most basic needs of the children forcibly displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Tickets for the concerts of this festival will be sold at a minimum price, encouraging everyone to attend the concerts and, if desired, to raise funds in the concert hall itself, both in cash and non-cash.
