News - Armenia MoD comments on reports on receiving French weapons

Armenian News-NEWS.am asked the spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Armenia, Aram Torosyan, to comment on the reports and photos—which are being circulated on Telegram channels—on France's sending of military equipment to Armenia. It is being reported that France has sent a large number of "Bastion" armored vehicles and their equipment to Armenia. "Apart from the official messages and statements regarding cooperation between Armenia and France in the defense sector, we cannot disclose any additional information at this time," said Armenian MoD spox. Armenia and France signed an agreement on defense cooperation on October 23. But reports on the supply of French armored vehicles to Armenia had begun to circulate in open sources back in May and June.
