News - US carries out 2 airstrikes against ‘pro-Iranian groups’ in Syria

The US launched two airstrikes against "pro-Iranian groups" in Syria, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin announced. It is noted that these strikes were carried out in response to a series of attacks on American troops in Syria and Iraq. US forces struck a training center near the town of Abu Kamal and a facility near the town of Mayadin, in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, near the Iraqi border. The US military is investigating whether members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) or related groups were killed or injured in these airstrikes.
