Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, upon returning from an extraordinary joint summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the League of Arab States in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, told reporters that the United States plays a critical role in helping the Israeli regime survive, Mehr reports. According to Raisi, the United States is "the main culprit" in supplying the regime with weapons for the purpose of harming Palestinian women and children. Noting that Iran has strong views on the Palestinian issue, the Iranian President said, “During this trip, I tried to be the voice of the Iranian nation and those people who shout about the rights of Palestinians in the streets.” Raisi stated that following the Islamic Revolution's triumph, Iran has held unwavering positions regarding the rights of the Palestinian people, while also regarding the Zionist regime as an illegitimate entity without a true identity. He further noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran views the liberation of the occupied city of Al-Quds and the restoration of the rights of the Palestinian people as the foremost concern for the Muslim world and a standard for evaluating the genuine stances of countries regarding this matter.
