In an open letter to the nation, President of France, Emmanuel Macron, stressed the importance of addressing the unacceptable rise of rampant anti-Semitism, describing it as “odious.” “In one month, more than a thousand anti-Semitic acts were committed on our soil. Three times more acts of hatred against our Jewish compatriots in a few weeks than during the entire last year,” Macron stated in a letter published by Le Parisien. “France where our Jewish compatriots live in fear is not France,” the letter further reads.
