News - shamshyan.com: Shots fired in Armenia’s Syunik, 2 brothers, one of whom is village mayor, hospitalized

Shots were fired Monday in Syunik Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports. Around 11:50pm on that day, the Goris city police received a call from the Goris Medical Center that a person with a gunshot wound was brought to them for medical treatment. The police and investigators found out that the injured person is Syunik resident Ara H., 38.. While the law enforcement officers were investigating the incident, another person with a gunshot wound was brought to the same hospital. The police find out that that this person is Syunik resident Arshavir H., 41. Also, the police and investigators also out that at around 11:30pm, the two aforesaid injured persons had met with a 32-year-old acquaintance of Arshavir H. in Tatev enlarged community, at which time that person had fired shots at their car under still unknown circumstances. As a result, the aforementioned two persons had sustained gunshot wounds. The Goris investigation department has launched criminal proceedings into this incident. Ara H. is the mayor of Chakaten village of Tatev enlarged community, and the shooting suspect had recently returned from Russia.
