The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said infantry units and tanks entered the Gaza Strip on Friday in "localized raids" to clear the area of potential terrorists and find missing Israelis, Times of Israel reports. Chief IDF spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that armored and infantry units carried out searches and successfully prevented attempts by anti-tank guided missile squads to enter Israeli territory. “The forces located findings that may help in the effort to locate the missing,” Hagari said, adding, “We will continue to make every effort to find every detail about the missing and hostages.”
