By decision of French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, France is contributing 1 million euros to the World Food Program (WFP) to meet Armenia's needs following the forced displacement of 100,000 Armenians from [Artsakh] Nagorno-Karabakh, the Ambassador of France to Armenia Olivier Decottignies wrote on X (formerly Twitter), publishing the corresponding statement from WFP Armenia. “Proud to announce a generous €1 million contribution from France to WFP's emergency response efforts in Armenia, following meeting between Executive Director of the UN World Food Programme Cindy McCain and Foreign Minister [of France] Catherine Colonna in NYC. Strengthening our partnership to support those in need,” says WFP Armenia’s statement.
