The Russian peacekeeping contingent is officially supposed to stay in Nagorno-Karabakh until November 2025. But due to the new circumstances, Russia and its partners must discuss the future course of actions. Russian President Vladimir Putin made such a statement during a press conference Friday on the results of his visit to Kyrgyzstan, writes Moskovskii Komsomolets daily. Putin stated that "when the Armenian side recognized that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is part of Azerbaijan, it turned out that the [Russian] peacekeepers were already in the territory of [Azerbaijani capital] Baku." Now, after the difficult events related to the emigration of the Armenian population of Nagorno Karabakh, the situation has changed dramatically, he noted, reports TASS. "But formally, our peacekeepers will be there until November 2025. And, of course, we have to resolve the matter through dialogue with our partners," the Russian president concluded.
