At this phase, we have managed to solve the problems; but we need international help, including financial support. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government. "Talking with our international partners, they have already expressed readiness to assist Armenia in meeting the needs of forcibly displaced people [from Nagorno-Karabakh]. Sadly, human history has shown that abuses in such situations abound. I especially put the accountability and transparency of the process, the traceability, in the basis of our cooperation, so that no donor, no taxpayer in Armenia will have any doubts about where that money went. And in case of doubt, our supervisory bodies must exercise supervision over the process," he said. Also, Pashinyan noted that for a long time their opponents and detractors constantly said that this Armenian government does not have management skills, is unable to manage processes, etc. "I must record that the first impulse being received from all our international partners in this situation is as follows that they say, ‘We are surprised how it could happen that 100,000 forcibly displaced people, in fact, refugees, enter the country in three days, and the [Armenian] government is able to take care of their short-term needs at least, as well as take care of their medium-term needs.’ They say that they don't recall such a precedent that 100,000 forcibly displaced people entered a country and when walking on the streets of that country, this phenomenon was not observed as a humanitarian crisis," said the Armenian PM.
