News - Deputy Armenian PM discusses needs of displaced persons from Karabakh with ICRC head

Deputy Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the head of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia Thierry Ribault and the Secretary General of the Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) Anna Yeghiazaryan.They spoke about the humanitarian situation created because of the forced displacement of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh. The deputy prime minister highly appreciated the active involvement of the ICRC and the Armenian Red Cross Society in the process of addressing the primary needs of the from Nagorno-Karabakh, expressing confidence in the effective interaction regarding medium-term and long-term support programs. The interlocutors discussed also a wide range of issues aimed at addressing the social and health needs of people forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
