Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Ashtiani has announced that Iran plans to demonstrate a new advanced air defense system in the near future, Mehr reports. General Ashtiani stated on Saturday that this indigenous military equipment was entirely designed and manufactured by Iranian military specialists. He emphasized that the development of this system aligns with the Department of Defense's strategy to take the the enemy by surprise and prepare for various scenarios in potential future conflicts. The Iranian general also highlighted the Ministry of Defense's recent achievements in designing and producing several anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM), including Bavar-373 (Believe-373), Khordad 15, Talaash (Endeavor), and Mersad (Ambush). Integrating these new missile defense systems and enhancing deterrence will enable Iran to diversify its air defense capabilities and bolster the combat effectiveness of its armed forces, the defense minister noted.
