On October 7, the Romanian government dispatched two cargo planes loaded with humanitarian aid to Armenia. This assistance is intended for forcibly displaced people from Nagorno Karabakh. According to a report from the "Armenpress" correspondent, the humanitarian aid was received at the "Zvartnots" airport by Cornel Ionescu, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Romania to Armenia, along with Ara Fidanyan, the general secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Ambassador Cornel Ionescu expressed his satisfaction that his country could extend a helping hand to those in need. He emphasized the strong and close relations between Romania and Armenia. "I believe this demonstrates the depth of our open and close relations, not just between our governments but between our peoples as well. I hope this will further strengthen our ties. In the near future, we will also assist in the evacuation of citizens affected by the explosion in Stepanakert to Bucharest. Once again, I'm pleased to be here to demonstrate that people can be friends and offer support to those in need. Thank you very much," remarked the Romanian Ambassador to Armenia. The humanitarian cargo includes essential items such as food and basic necessities.
