News - Mirzoyan, Borrell discuss situation due to Armenians’ forced displacement from Nagorno-Karabakh

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on Thursday met with Josep Borrell, the European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, in Granada, Spain, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am. The situation resulting from the forced displacement of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as its political and humanitarian components were discussed. FM Mirzoyan said the fact that Azerbaijan has deprived an entire population of their homeland and the behavior of resorting to the use of force should unconditionally receive a clear international reaction. The interlocutors touched also upon the overall security situation in the region, and reaffirmed the imperative to deter any aspirations towards territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia. In addition, Ararat Mirzoyan and Josep Borrell conferred about the Armenia-EU partnership agenda.
