News - RA MFA: Armenian asked Russia to increase quotas for gasoline and diesel fuel

The Armenian side has appealed to Russia to increase the quotas for gasoline and diesel fuel, the Armenian Foreign Ministry has announced, emphasizing that "Yerevan has never appealed to Moscow to supply diesel or gasoline free of charge." "According to the cooperation agreement in the field of supply of gas, petroleum products, natural diamonds signed between the parties in 2013, for each year, the Russian Federation approves indicative quotas for the export of petroleum products for the Republic of Armenia. Those quotas for gasoline and diesel fuel expired in 2023 at the beginning of October, and the Armenian side applied for an increase in quotas, which was partially satisfied, as a result of which RA importers got the opportunity to buy and import 15,000 tons of gasoline and 20,000 tons of diesel fuel from Russia," reads a statement by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
