News - Deputy RA PM hopes UN agencies will be actively involved in support programs for people forcibly displaced from NK

Deputy Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation headed by Mohan Ramesh Rajasingham, Director of Coordination, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) of UN. According to a press release by the Deputy Prime Minister's office, Tigran Khachatryan expressed concern about the visit of the delegation led by the UN resident coordinator in Azerbaijan to Nagorno Karabakh and the report they published, stressing that its format and content did not meet the expectations of the Armenian side regarding the UN interdepartmental fact-finding mission. He also emphasized that such a delayed visit could only record the consequences of Azerbaijan's policy of ethnic cleansing of the people of Nagorno Karabakh. The deputy prime minister presented in detail the works aimed at short-term, medium-term and long-term programs to address the primary needs of those forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. He also presented the health, social, psychological and other needs of the most vulnerable groups – children, women, and elderly, medical patients. Tigran Khachatryan also expressed hope that the UN agencies will be actively involved in these activities.
