A delegation from the Russian Ministry of Defense is scheduled to visit Yerevan to discuss the timeline for the withdrawal of the Russian peacekeeping contingent from Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). This information was reported by a diplomatic source to TASS. The Russian peacekeeping contingent has been stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh based on a ceasefire declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia on November 9, 2020. According to the agreement, the duration of the Russian peacekeeping contingent's presence in the region was set for five years from the date of signing, with the possibility of an automatic extension for another five years if none of the parties to the agreement declares their intention to terminate this provision six months before the expiration of the term.
