News - Number of people forcibly displaced from Karabakh to Armenia still at 100,632

There are no new arrivals from Nagorno-Karabakh, the number of forcibly displaced people remains the same; according to the latest data, 100,632 people have crossed the Hakari bridge into Armenia. Nazeli Baghdasaryan, the press secretary of the Armenian prime minister, announced this during the press conference Thursday. Baghdasaryan added that there is a certain clarification in the process of registering these forcibly displaced persons, and that their identification is also done parallel to this process. "In most cases, the persons who entered Armenia went through one registration process in Goris [city]; the second—one at their place of residence. We have such cases when they went to their primary place of residence, were registered, then moved to another province and were registered again; this has created somewhat duplicate data in the [data]base," said the press secretary of the Armenian PM She informed that at the moment, around 98,000 forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh, have been registered and identified in Armenia.
