Moscow has had some communication with the West regarding the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, but not what Politico wrote about, Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the Russian President, told reporters. “Not as described. But these are not the negotiations that are written there," Peskov was quoted as saying by TASS. Earlier, Politico reported about the secret negotiations of representatives of the USA, EU and Russia in Turkey. According to the newspaper, the meeting took place a few days before Azerbaijan's attack on Artsakh. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said that Brussels and Washington asked Moscow to hold a meeting on the subject of Nagorno-Karabakh before the beginning of the crisis. During a briefing held on Wednesday, the diplomat explained that the Russian Federation, the United States and the EU regularly exchanged ideas on Karabakh at the meeting. "There is no secret in this. It was a regular exchange of views. But we will watch how the West presents everything, and from here the goals that were in front of them from the beginning will become clear," said Zakharova.
