News - Ararat Mirzoyan: If this is UN's response, it is too late and too little

Armenia has been actively reaching out to various international bodies, including the United Nations and its relevant agencies, for months. It has appealed, raised alarms, provided information, and requested intervention, particularly through Security Council meetings. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan made this announcement today, October 4, in the National Assembly, addressing the protocols related to the UN mission group's recent visit to Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). He also responded to inquiries about whether an investigation would be initiated concerning the observation mission's activities. According to Mirzoyan, regrettably, Armenia did not receive a satisfactory response from these international entities. Regarding the UN mission group's recent visit, Mirzoyan's assessment is as follows: "Are you referring to the entry of the relevant UN group into Nagorno-Karabakh a day or two ago? My response to that is as follows: if this is the UN's response, it is too late and too little." However, Mirzoyan expressed hope that this may not represent the final stance of the UN and its agencies in this matter, even though it is delayed. “As far as I know, the statement of the relevant agency, the agency that carried out that mission, is being prepared, and the conclusions that have been drawn are not those of that agency,” he said. He was assured that the agency will issue a corresponding statement, and Mirzoyan stated, "We will wait, we will see."
