News - Preventing further use of force by Azerbaijan is imperative, Armenian FM tells his Greek counterpart

It is an imperative to prevent the further use of force by Azerbaijan, exclude its ambitions for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia’s Foreign Minister has said in a telephone conversation with his Greek counterpart Giorgos Gerapetritis. According to a press release by Armenia’s Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan also emphasized the joint steps of international actors aimed at this. Ararat Mirzoyan also presented to his colleague the details of the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan's continuous policy of aggression and ethnic cleansing, as well as the international political and humanitarian components of the situation. He also presented the humanitarian challenges caused by the forced displacement of more than 100,000 Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh and the programs implemented by the Armenian Government to address them. The two officials also talked about issues of interaction within Armenia and the EU, as well as international organizations.
