News - Peskov: Pashinyan's Prague decision led to current situation in Karabakh

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan himself decided to recognize Azerbaijan's borders as of 1991, and that was the forerunner of today's situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters. The representative of the Kremlin responded to Yerevan's criticism of bilateral partnership with Moscow and the mechanisms of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). "As for the discussions on Karabakh, we should always remember the decision of Mr. Pashinyan, which he made in Prague and recognized the borders of Azerbaijan as of 1991. Accordingly, he recognized the territory of Karabakh as the territory of Azerbaijan. This is the forerunner of the entire situation that exists now," Peskov was quoted by TASS as saying.
