Armenia PM: There will be no Armenians left in Karabakh in coming days

by Lilit Sept. 28, 2023

The departure of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh continues as a result of the ethnic cleansing policy being implemented by Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government. "Analyses show that there will be no more Armenians left in Nagorno-Karabakh in the coming days. This is a direct act of ethnic cleansing and depatriation and what we have been warning the international community about for a long time. Statements by various international players condemning the ethnic cleansing taking place in Nagorno-Karabakh are important; but if they are not followed by concrete actions, these statements will be seen in the series of nothing more than creating moral statistics for history so that in the future, various countries will be able to formally dissociate themselves from this crime by saying ‘Well, we have condemned [it].’ "If statements on condemnation are not followed by proper decisions of a political and legal nature, condemnations become acts of agreement with what is happening," Pashinyan said. A little while ago, it became known that the President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), Samvel Shahramanyan, signed a decree, according to which the Artsakh Republic will cease to exist as of January 1, 2024. But until then, all institutions and organizations under the government of Artsakh shall be dissolved.
