In a thrilling announcement, Disneyland Resort's California Adventure is preparing to unveil Avengers Infinity Defense, a brand new Marvel-themed attraction scheduled to open in 2028. This was confirmed by Walt Disney Imagineering's Brent Strong and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige at this year's D23 Expo, and the ride promises to be an exhilarating addition to the popular Avengers Campus. D23, known as The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, is a biennial gathering where Disney reveals an exciting slate of upcoming films, TV shows, park attractions, and merchandise, while also celebrating its storied history. This year's event is taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center. The Avengers Infinity Defense ride is an E-ticket attraction—indicating a high-profile and technically advanced experience—set to significantly expand the Marvel presence at California Adventure. Guests will join the ranks of Earth's mightiest recruits, guided by Ms. Marvel (portrayed by Iman Vellani from the MCU), as they navigate a multiverse of challenges alongside the Avengers. King Thanos, a unique villain emerging from a universe where he prevails over the superheroes, will return as the ride's formidable antagonist. A star-studded lineup of Avengers actors, including Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, will reprise their iconic roles to enrich this immersive experience. Adventurers will explore vast landscapes with breathtaking sets and larger-than-life media experiences, visiting legendary locations from Asgard to Wakanda and even New York City. The 2028 expansion is slated to double the size of the Avengers Campus.
