News - Pashinyan Discusses TRIPP Project with Arab Envoys

YEREVAN, August 11. In a significant diplomatic meeting, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with ambassadors from Arab states accredited in the republic to discuss efforts towards unblocking regional communication, including the implementation of the TRIPP project. This meeting, held on Tuesday, was a key step in fostering peace and stability in the region. As reported by the government press service, discussions touched on joint efforts to ensure peace and the importance of maintaining stability following the peace terms established between Armenia and Azerbaijan in their summit on August 8, 2025, in Washington. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the importance of enhancing relationships with Arab countries, noting the historical and cultural ties that bind them with Armenia. He underscored the significance of deepening cooperation for mutual benefit. Additionally, discussions included plans for the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held this October in Armenia. Pashinyan highlighted the importance of active participation of Arab state delegations in the scheduled activities, reinforcing Armenia's commitment to global biodiversity and cooperation with international partners.
