Political Showdown: Ogles Under Fire from Liberal PAC

by Lilit July 26, 2026

In a fierce political tug-of-war, the Invest in Tomorrow Coalition PAC, a 'clean energy' PAC backed by a key California Governor Gavin Newsom supporter, is pouring nearly $700,000 into the campaign against incumbent Rep. Andy Ogles. Their spending aims to bolster Charlie Hatcher, a challenger hailed in PAC ads as 'an America first conservative who gets things done' with stances that are 'pro-gun, pro-life, pro-Trump.' Ogles's popularity has surged due to his staunch positions against the Islamification of the U.S. and birthright citizenship, rousing a wave of viral controversy and rallying a backlash from leftist entities. Adding a layer of complexity, the Freedom Caucus has allocated over $250,000 to fortify support for Ogles, emphasizing him as a critical ally to former President Donald Trump. Not a stranger to the political arena, the Invest in Tomorrow PAC also previously unleashed $650,000 in attack ads against Rep. Chip Roy, impacting his campaign for the Texas Attorney General nomination and aiding in his defeat by State Senator Mayes Middleton. As they set sights on other conservative figures, aiming to displace Reps. Ralph Norman—with sights on the South Carolina Senate following Sen. Lindsey Graham's passing—and Byron Donalds, pursuing the Florida governorship, the battlefronts continue to expand.
