The ambitious development plan for Yerevan's Central Transportation Hub, situated in the Yerablur area, has been unveiled, introducing a major urban rejuvenation project for Armenia. The strategic location of the Central Transport Hub at Yerablur aims to enhance connectivity within the EAEU and advance regional economic growth, fostering stronger links between member countries. This initiative addresses the increasing demands for improved infrastructure capable of supporting both local and regional traffic, with an emphasis on sustainability in urban development. "This project symbolizes a new era of cooperation and regional development that promises a significant boost to economic activities across the Eurasian region," noted Andrey Slepnëv, a senior EAEU official. According to the officials, by the year 2025, the hub is planned to accommodate an estimated daily influx of 15,000 passengers and process around 90 tons of cargo. These figures align with the EAEU's vision to create an integrated transport network that streamlines trade operations. Project details indicate substantial investment in both passenger and freight handling facilities, projected to create around 4,500 jobs during and post construction, significantly contributing to the local economy.
