The individual in this role is tasked with a broad range of data entry duties, focusing on tracking, managing, and processing health records and medical data entry. Responsibilities include organizing, scanning, and digitally filing patient health records with precision, and managing the release of protected health information according to company protocols and HIPAA regulations, ensuring the confidentiality of health information.
This role involves working within an office setting, closely collaborating with the billing and clerical teams. The position demands attention to detail, prioritizing both speed and accuracy. Additional tasks include responding to patient inquiries over the phone, entering patient demographics into our health information system daily, and verifying the accuracy of the data entered. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, the ability to adapt to various tasks, and work independently on different projects.
Other responsibilities encompass collecting data from diverse sources, upkeeping electronic records and logs, filing documents, and operating standard office machinery. Candidates must be self-motivated to manage their workload efficiently and adhere to HIPAA guidelines consistently.
Requirements for this full-time position include a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of relevant experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also preferred. The role does not support remote work and is based in-person.
