YEREVAN, September 1 – The initiation of the TRIPP project is poised to open pioneering transport corridors and foster significant economic development across the region, announced Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization + summit in Bishkek. Working closely with Azerbaijan and Turkey, Armenia embarks on this ambitious project aimed at revamping and revitalizing interstate communications, a process expected to progress swiftly with infrastructural developments projected in the coming months. Prime Minister Pashinyan underscored the importance of TRIPP as a revolutionary initiative transforming existing and new transport routes spanning from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean, and from the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea, effectively bridging the East–West and South–North divides. This enterprise not only promises logistical enhancements but is also anticipated to serve as a linchpin for economic collaboration, offering tangible benefits to all participating nations. Furthermore, Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia’s foreign policy is geared towards nurturing fruitful alliances with Iran and Georgia while concurrently working to solidify diplomatic and economic ties with its other neighbors, Azerbaijan and Turkey. By fostering a cooperative and peaceful environment, Armenia aims to bolster regional stability, thereby creating a conducive platform for sustainable development.
